In the digital global economy, numerous companies already rely on coders and web designers who come from the countries of the former Soviet Union. This is because they traditionally have a comparatively high level of education, especially in the natural sciences. For young people from the South Caucasus, countries with high youth unemployment and low salaries, this is an opportunity. Digital career paths offer the possibility of a good life without necessarily having to emigrate.
Therefore, Candid Foundation, in cooperation with Microsoft Innovation Center Yerevan and other partners from the region, is conducting a hybrid course in web design by making young Armenians and Georgians aware of the opportunities in the digital economy and motivating them to pursue career opportunities in the field.
