Candid Journalism Grant supports 20 journalistic talents from across the MENA region to compose in-depth multimedia stories related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The long-form pieces be translated into both English and German, and, as well as the Arabic original versions, will feature in high-profile publications across Europe and the Middle East. Half of the grantees will have the opportunity to develop their stories into professionally produced podcasts.

To help these grantees develop their journalistic skill-sets, Candid Foundation has also launched Candid Academy, where prominent digital experts lead online courses in Arabic on staying safe online, journalistic best practices and ethics. More information about Candid Academy can be found here.
