DOLMA DIARIES

CIVIL SOCIETY PROJECT | JANUARY - DECEMBER 2017

Dolma Diaries was a joint Armenian-Azerbaijani-Georgian comedy series that sought to spread the message of neighbourly friendship in a humorous way. The title of the series allusion to the controversy surrounding the true heritage of dolma (stuffed grape leaves), which exemplifies the ongoing tensions between the countries of the South Caucasus. Picking up where politics seemed to have failed, this project explored innovative ways of sustaining civil society discourse. As part of this project, four dramatists scripted an original series and produced a trailer.

The project was supported and co-funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, Go Group Media, Eurasia Partnership Foundation and Humanitarian Research Union.
